Ullswater… visiting the lakes

This summer we went camping for three nights in the second largest lake in Lake District… Ullswater. Two days of beautiful weather and two days of pouring rain… but what else could you expect from the Lakes?

From the Ullswater Holiday Park, situated in a beautiful location not that far from the lake, we could easily cross the fields inhabited by friendly sheep…

… and visit the pebbly beaches of Ullswater and marines.

Or we could explore the forest trails that would take us up the mountains into small villages with their local churches and beautiful scenarios.

It’s hard to define the highlight of these holidays, as every sight was absolutely mesmerising, but totally recommend visiting the National Trust’s Aira Force Waterfalls

…and bring coins!
